Being in Vancouver on a spring day like this and having a new boyfriend... What could make me smile more?... this and an endless supply of mint chocolate chip ice cream, and a job would probably make me smile more. Maybe I'll get that next week. :) The colour pink makes one more optimistic.

Cat. Seems like, apart from a sweet comment a stranger made today about my hair, my cat was one of the only things that cheered me up from a rather avoidably bad morning.

Apparently it's slush now, but it snowed there over the weekend. Hard to believe eh?

Summer

...Didn't feel like it was far away at all yesterday. Raining again today, but the Oscars are on tonight which is fab. So we're making a red velvet cake to celebrate and perhaps put on some diamonds and head for our neighbors' house to watch it in style. Unfortunately I wimped out a bit on the red food-colouring, so it doesn't quite look like this...

But it will taste probably just as good.
